Cristosal on the Frontlines: A Dialogue with Noah Bullock

During the conversation, Bullock discussed in depth the rise of authoritarian tendencies in El Salvador and the region, as well as their direct impact on Salvadoran society. He addressed the process that led to the arbitrary detention of Ruth López, a prominent lawyer and human rights defender, and explained how this event marked a turning point for Cristosal. From that moment on, the organization made the difficult decision to suspend operations in El Salvador and restructure to continue its work from Guatemala and Honduras.

Speakers: Noah Bullock (Cristosal), Dulce Guzmán (Alianza Americas)

Organized by: Alianza Americas, Cristosal, Human Rights First, Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS), Refugees International
